With 75 of the state’s 100 counties classified under extreme drought, it’s no surprise that Governor Mike Easley is asking Carolinians to conserve water. Yesterday he expressed hope that state residents would voluntarily conserve ahead of time- that way, mandatory restrictions might be avoided.
