Will the issue of 114 vehicles titled to New River Behavioral Healthcare end in a lawsuit?  Watauga Commission chair Nathan Miller told the press after yesterday morning’s meeting that’s the action threatened, "Smoky Mountain is threatening a lawsuit and an injunction to stop us from selling the cars.  I think that is a great, colossal waste of taxpayer dollars.

Our LME, instead of helping us, is now trying to sue us so that we can't use assets that New River owns to pay debts."  Miller went on to say that taxpayers might want to contact their legislators over the issue. Miller said that Crossroads, another LME that had been over New River, has documentation of their purchase of some of the vehicles while, according to Miller, Smoky Mountain has not produced any.
