What Kind of a Noise Annoys… PDF Print

Even though the new noise ordinance under development for the Town of Boone wasn’t on Town Council’s agenda Tuesday evening it doesn’t mean work isn’t going on to move it forward. Town staff is currently revising the policy based on feedback they received from Council during a meeting last week. Mayor Pro-Tem, Lynn Mason called the effort still a ‘work in progress.’ As evidence of their continued efforts to develop a workable ordinance the Council will have a demonstration by the Boone Police Department of the decibel levels being considered for the ordinance. This will occur during the break of its Thursday evening meeting. Better bring your ear plugs just as a precaution if you plan on attending this meeting.
