An Avery County woman was trapped in her car as in careened off of Trim Branch Road late last night, landing on a camper trailer.  The 9:35pm crash occurred, according to the state patrol, when the 36-year old woman dropped her cell phone, and while reaching for it, she ran off of the road, her 2005 Subaru landing overturned on top of the fortunately unoccupied camper.  First responders were unable to get the woman out of her car, and it took a number of fire units and personnel to get her out, but it appeared a hand injury was the main injury in the wreck.  The woman was cited for failure to maintain lane control.
Charges of DWI, Left of Center, and No Operators License were filed in a 1am wreck this morning on the NC 105 By-Pass just past the US 421 light.  The crash involved a single vehicle—a black pickup—that ran off of the road and overturned.  James Waide, 30, of Poplar Grove Road suffered foot injuries in the crash, and was transported for treatment before being served with the charges in the crash.
