Four occupants of a small Ford were taken to Watauga Medical Center following the Ford slamming into the rear of a stopped Honda on US 421 just out of Boone this afternoon.  The 1:05pm crash was near Katbird Lane a short distance toward Vilas from the 105 bypass,

the Honda stopped to turn into a residence when Bryan Roark was unable to stop in time, slamming into the back of the Honda.  Boone Fire and Watauga Medics responded, transporting the four in two ambulances to Watauga Medical Center.  Trooper Brown said none of the injuries appeared life-threatening, and he cited Bryan Roark of Zionville with Failure to Reduce Speed.
