Eight Ashe High School students were on board a bus that rolled over on Deep Ford Road late yesterday afternoon, but no injuries were reported.  The 4:15pm wreck was a single-vehicle accident—no collision—according to the state patrol, with trooper Denny Parunak asking first responders from Lansing to carefully assess the students and make a seating chart of where the students had been on the bus for their reconstruction while he was his way to the scene. Initially it was said that 6 were on board. The state patrol report said the bus was driven by William Howard Pierce east-bound and that the bus crossed the center line onto the shoulder and careened over. Witnesses said it was the second school bus accident in that stretch in as many years.
