Caldwell shooting was between neighbors PDF Print
Wednesday, 29 August 2007 21:24
Caldwell County Sheriff’s investigators believe a Tuesday shooting may have been the result of an ongoing feud between neighbors.
23-year-old Michael Scott Jordan allegedly shot 23-year-old Chad Dorian Teague in the chest. Jordan was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill and held on a $100,000 bond. The alleged weapon, a 9-millimeter handgun, is in police custody. Jordan claims he used the gun in self-defense. Meanwhile, at Carolinas Medical Center, Teague says he did not provoke Jordan. According to sheriff’s deputies, witnesses reported an ongoing dispute between Teague and Jordan for several weeks. Additional charges may be pending.
