Caldwell shooting: Suspect and victim identified PDF Print

A Caldwell County man is in serious condition following a shooting yesterday evening.

Just before 6pm, 22-year-old Chad Dorian Teague of Morganton was shot once in the chest at his residence off Jim Poarch Place in southwest Caldwell. He was airlifted from Grace Hospital in Morganton to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Teague is listed in serious condition. 22-year old  Michael Scott Jordan of Morganton was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill. Jordan was held under a $100,000.00 bond. The victim’s father, 48-year-old, Jeffery Scott Teague of Lenoir was charged with resisting a public officer for interfering in the investigation. He was sent to Caldwell Memorial Hospital for injuries he sustained during the altercation. Jordan’s first day of court is this Thursday, August 30th.
