Foxx Chief of Staff Charged in Boone PDF Print

Numerous news agencies are reporting the arrest of the chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Virginia Foxx this past week in Boone on a charge of driving while impaired. State Highway Patrol reports show 36-year-old William Todd Poole of Winston-Salem was stopped Tuesday along N.C. Highway 105 in Boone.

Troopers say he made a left turn without yielding to oncoming traffic. Court documents show Poole refused to take a Breathalyzer test and so a blood sample was taken. Authorities say the results are expected within a month. So far there has been no comment from Foxx or her office over the arrest.
