WJ Oil, Gas Firm Bought PDF Print

Gas Natural Inc., the parent company of Energy West, has bought Independence Oil & LP Gas Inc. for $1.6 million, according to the Great Falls Tribune. Independence Oil delivers heating oil, liquid propane, and kerosene to approximately 4,500 customers from its offices in West Jefferson, N.C., and Independence, Va.

Richard M. Osborne, Gas Natural's chairman and chief executive officer, in a news release "In time, we plan to look at the feasibility of converting our new North Carolina customers to natural gas, given their proximity to our pipeline system." Gas Natural Inc. distributes and sells natural gas to residential, commercial and industrial customers through regulated utilities operating in Montana, Wyoming, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maine and North Carolina.
