Thief took keys, then car PDF Print

An update on a story we brought you yesterday- Boone Police Department is still looking for whoever broke into a Howard Street apartment early Wednesday.

The unidentified suspect is believed to have entered through a rear window while the two occupants of the apartment were sleeping. Camera equipment, computer software, credit cards and a cell phone were taken. The thief is also alleged to have stolen a 2004 Honda Civic two-door sedan, which was parked at the residence. According to reports, the suspect is believed to have obtained the keys from the apartment and taken the car from the parking lot. The vehicle is silver in color and its license plate number is registered as VRZ-9438. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Watauga County Crimestoppers at 828-262-4555. You may be eligible for a reward.
