WINGS air Ambualnce was called to Avery County yesterday afternoon when a 31-year old suffered a number of injuries falling 40 feet from a tree.  The man, working in the tree, had on a harness, but his safety catch did not work, and he came down with about a 16-foot limb falling with him. Medics and first responders rushed to Hobb’s Knob at Sarah Springs while firemen set up a landing zone for the medicevac chopper on 221 at 194 at the top of Three Mile.  The man was conscious—never losing consciousness in the fall to the ground.
