Commute More Costly--Gas Up Even More PDF Print

Bumped again—the price of regular gas has jumped a nickel over the weekend, our BP Barometer showing regular at $3.65.9 a gallon. Regular gas is as high as $3.70.9 a gallon at stations in the High Country. Press reports are still blaming the Libyan conflict, although other factors—the price of crude oil and others—seem more to blame.  And here’s news that’s not going to be a surprise: Tom Crosby with AAA Carolinas said drivers can expect to pay more than ever to drive this year. “North Carolina motorists will be paying 66 cents a mile to drive their cars when all costs are considered,” Crosby said.
