Break-in, Vehicle Theft Leads to Arrest of Lenoir PDF Print

On Monday, April 4th at 05:15pm Avery County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christy Owens, 22, of Lenoir.  Owens was arrested and charged with Felony Breaking and Entering and Larceny from a residential breaking and entering which was reported at 15 minutes earlier.

The theft occurred in the Sam Brown Lane area of Avery County, and Owens was found in possession of some of the stolen property.  As deputies further investigated, they found the vehicle which Owens was driving had been reported stolen from Lenoir.  Owens was also charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.  Owens is currently being held under a $37,000.00 secured bond.
