Tennessee Man Charged in Boone Break-ins, Thefts PDF Print

A Tennessee man has been extradited to North Carolina and has been charged with a number of recent crimes. Michael Jason Tolley was taken into custody by Boone Police on February 28 after a Watauga County residential break-in.

He was wanted at the time on fugitive warrants and was extradited to Tennessee.  Investigation into his activities around the time of the Watauga County break-in showed Tolley to have been involved in two Boone area incidents, a break-in that same day and a larceny reported on February 15th.

Tolley, age 33 of Johnson City, was brought back to North Carolina on Friday April 1st and charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods, misdemeanor possession of stolen goods, misdemeanor larceny, felony obtain property by false pretense and misdemeanor credit card fraud.  He was booked into the Watauga County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond with a May 5th court date.
