Lock your cars: Wilkesboro Police investigate car break-ins PDF Print
Wednesday, 01 August 2007 20:00

Wilkesboro Police Department is warning citizens to lock their cars after a series of car break-ins this week in the Tyson parking lot.

All three of the reported break-ins occurred between Monday and Tuesday. One of the thefts was caught on tape. An older-model Toyota Camry or Honda pulled up to a car. The security tape shows a person wearing black pants and a black shirt get out and apparently break into another vehicle. Police are examining another security tape- in the meantime, anyone with information is encouraged to contact law enforcement. Among stolen items were iPods and a power adapter. While three break-ins are alleged, only two victims filed police reports.
