More bogus bills have been found in Wilkes this week, a $20 in the deposit of Tipton’s Barbecue.  Community One bank officials spotted the bill in the deposit and reported it to Wilkesboro Police. BB&T reported that a bill was found in the O’Reilly’s Auto Parts deposit from last week, as well.  And a Tyson employee reported that he had been asked to give change for a $100 bill from a man at work, then when he tried to spend the bill, he was told it was counterfeit.  When confronted by the victim, Wilkesboro Police say the suspect tried to buy the bill back for $50.  Jonas Lee Eller, of 1415 Germantown Road, Wilkesboro, was arrested in the case and the $100 bill secured for evidence.  And a Wilkes County employee found a bogus $20 in the trash can in a second-floor  men’s room in the courthouse.  No suspect was listed in that.
