Two Democrat Winners in Watauga: Sheriff & Clerk of Court PDF Print

The only Watauga Democrat re-elected was Sheriff Len Hagaman, who left a text message, "I am very blessed, honored, and grateful for the support and vote of confidence given me by the voters of Watauga County.

I would be remiss if I did not commend William in running a positive race - void of negative political rhetoric. This election also brought into focus some improvements that I need to work on to further enhance the Watauga County Sheriff's Office into the premier professional Sheriff's Office folks expect."  One other vote that went against the trend, Watauga Voters elected Democrat Diane Cornett Deal Clerk of Superior Court, 8700 to 7542 over incumbent Wanda Howell.
