Murder suspects nabbed in Avery- await extradition PDF Print
Monday, 30 July 2007 20:57
Murder suspects 18-year-old Tabitha Messina and 19-year-old Carlos Christopher await extradition to their hometown of South Euclid, just outside Cleveland, Ohio.
The two were found at the Parkview in Avery County yesterday morning by Avery County first responders, who were called to check on an unresponsive female. Newland Police assisted Avery County Sheriff’s Office in the apprehension. Messina and Christopher have been charged in the beating deaths of Messina’s father, Richard Messina, and his girlfriend, Sandra Cover. According to family members, Tabitha Messina and her father had been having disagreements over her lifestyle choices. Ohio police believe those arguments led to murder. The victims were found in an upstairs bedroom in their home on Sunday.
