Assault suspect could be the 'Pantser' PDF Print
Monday, 30 July 2007 10:47
The suspect in a Thursday assault on the campus of Appalachian State University could be the same “Pantser” allegedly responsible for pulling girls’ pants down last semester.

Thursday’s suspect is described as a white male in blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt. He is believed to have assaulted the student as she was walking alone in the Raley Hall parking lot near Howard Street, the same general area where girls were attacked earlier this year.

She heard someone approaching from the rear as she was walking, but did not pay attention until he grabbed her and pulled at her pants. Her pants fell down, but according to reports, she was wearing a long jacket.

According to Detective Todd Corley, it could indeed be the infamous assailant some call the “Pantser,” last seen in April.

The assailant is approximately 5'9" and 160 lbs. Anyone with information is urged to contact ASU Police at 262-2150.

It's no laughing matter to ASU police. Corley warns to avoid walking alone on campus at night.
