Roller Girls Get Family Rolling PDF Print

Seeing a need and taking action—the Appalachian Roller Girls have donated a van equipped for a special needs child to a family who needs just that for their child.  Just before practice at the National Guard Armory in Boone late yesterday afternoon, Megan Carmody, president of the local club, said that the club saw a need and worked to fill it.  There were some funds needed to complete the transfer, and the Appalachian Roller Girls managed to raise funds for the project with a recent fund-raiser. The club got a big thank-you card from the child and his family at practice yesterday.  Video is at:
