A shooting at a residence at 16 East Waugh Street left two people dead.

North Wilkesboro Police arrived at the home to find 34-year-old Laura Renee Triplett and 52 year-old Bobby Joe Hodges dead at the scene from gunshot wounds to the head. Their son, a 14-year-old juvenile, was shot in the arm and abdominal area and was transported to Wilkes Medical Center and later to Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem. Police arrived at the residence around 7:15 last night. It appears that Hodges shot Triplett, his son and himself with a pistol after an argument.
