A Blowing Rock man is facing drug charges in Caldwell County after an arrest Friday.  43-year-old Shawn Allen Valdez was arrested in Granite Falls on felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver heroin, and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for a controlled substance. Firefighter Fatally Injured in Foothills Crash

Travel Treachery Hits High Country
