$5,000 reward for missing Ashe man

41-year-old Jimmy Lee Blevins of Crumpler has been missing since late February, according to Ashe County Sheriff’s Office, whose deputies found a cooking crockpot and nothing out of the ordinary at Blevins’ residence.

Two shot when they use car as a weapon, police sayA shooting near Banner Elk closed N.C. Highway 105 this morning from 2 a.m. until around 5:30 a.m., Avery County Sheriff Kevin Frye said.
