Boone Man Trapped in Overturned Car

A Boone man was injured in the crash of his car just after leaving his driveway mid afternoon yesterday.  Dr. Charles Isley, 95, lost control of his Toyota 4Runner as he left his driveway pulling out onto Skyview Drive. One Injury in Motorcycle Crash

Man Rescued, Airlifted After Parkway Fall

A man was airlifted after a fall just off the Blue Ridge Parkway early in the afternoon on Labor Day.  Parkway Police say the Pfafftown man was hiking off of the Rough Ridge Trail when, just after 1pm, he lost his footing and skidded and slid some 100 feet down the steep terrain.  Avery and Full Story

Beech Mountain Home Destroyed in Fire

Aho Man Threatened with Arrest Over Septic Tank

An Aho cattle farmer reported being threatened with arrest by the authority of the Appalachian Regional Health Department after his septic system failed in April and he sought a solution to the matter.
