Downtown Icon Revival for Blowing Rock, Boone

Heavy Rains, Hail Reported in Monday Storms

Motorcycle, SUV Collision Proves Fatal

A motorcyclist has died after his cycle collided head-on into the front of an SUV traveling Poplar Grove Road South, emergency crews finding themselves treating one of their own.  The crash call came in at 10:40am reporting the cyclist down and suffering head and other obvious injuries, Watauga Full Story

 
Pot, Cash Seized with Arrest

Avery Deputies Make Meth Arrest

App State Mourns the Passing of Bob Light

Bob Light, one of the most successful coaches in Appalachian State University athletics history, died on Monday. He was 88. Smoke Killed Riverview Apartment Man
