Pioneers Compete At Taco Bell

It was a tough day for the Watauga High boy's and girl's track teams on Saturday at the Taco Bell Classic in Columbia, S.C. The WHS girls produced three top ten finishers, but did not score. Madison Harman and Taylor Drummonds were WHS' top finishers. Full Story

ASU, UNCG Split Double Header

Appalachian State University softball split its doubleheader against Southern Conference foe UNC Greensboro Saturday afternoon at UNCG Softball Stadium. The Watauga High boy's lacrosse team staged a furious second-half rally on Saturday, but came up short in the end. Matthews-Butler, which led 9-3 at halftime, staved off an eight-goal, second-half rally by the Pioneers and won the match, 13-11. Full Story
