AVERY COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY ANNOUNCES GIFTS OF $500 THOUSAND TOWARD $1 MILLION CHALLENGE GRANT

Ann Has Your Girl Scout Cookies!

Ann M is taking orders for Girl Scout Cookies now through January 17th?  Cookies are $4 a box and the varieties this year are Thin Mints, Caramel deLights, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Thanks-A-Lot, Shout Outs, Lemonades and Shortbread.  She is also taking donations to send cookies to the military.  You can email her at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Highland Camerata to Present Winter Concerts

The Highland Camerata, the region’s premier chorus, will present its annual set of Christmas concerts on December 7, 10, and 12.  On Tuesday, December 7, Sparta Presbyterian Church will host the concert at 7:30 in the evening.  On Friday, December 10 at 7:30 pm, the concert will be at Brush Creek Hall, home of the Camerata.
