There was a ribbon cutting yesterday at the Ashe Chamber for a company that has hit the ground running—taking company awards twice in its first quarter of operations. The official welcome was for Rooster Ridge Stairlifts, marketing a British lift chair system from a company called ‘Acorn Stairlifts.’ video is on our GoBlueRidge.net video page: http://www.youtube.com/user/GoBlueRidgeNews
Ashe Chamber exec Cabot Hamilton welcomed the new company, "March of 2010 it was accorded the dealer of the month, which is quite an unusual recognition for a brand new dealership, then in April, it was authorized as the 'preferred Acorn Dealership." Owner of the new firm, Charles Knapp has put together a sales force to handle territory from both Carolinas, eastern Tennessee, and south-west Virginia, "You honor us by being here...the company isn't, it is everybody you see with this logo--from five different states--people are here." Knapp was first a customer, installing a system for his 90-year old mother in 2003, and now taking on a large territory for the company.
