Water Back On in Boone Business Corridor

Town of Boone utility crews spent much of their 4th of July holiday afternoon repairing a water main effecting the Blowing Rock Road business corridor. The break was discovered in the early afternoon on Boone Heights Drive in front of Bare Essentials. Police cut off traffic between State Farm Road and the Wellness Center while repairs were made, and those repairs were completed shortly after 6pm. The outage stretched as far as Boone Mall and interrupted food service at a number of restaurants.
