LeGree on Nagurski watch list PDF Print

For the second year in a row, defensive back Mark LeGree of the Appalachian State University football team is making people stand up and take notice.

LeGree, a two-time All-America, is one of 74 players---and the only one at the FCS (Football Championship Series) level---on the Bronko Nagurski watch list for 2010. The Nagurski Trophy goes to the best defensive player in the nation at the Division I level. LeGree was the only FCS player on this list last fall.
LeGree. who has led the Southern Conference in interceptions the last two years, has also been a Buck Buchanan Finalist the last two seasons. The Buchanan Award goes to the best defensive player in the nation at the FCS level. LeGree has 17 career interceptions, ranking him fifth in that category in ASU history.
