The North Carolina-South Carolina All-Star Baseball Showcase was delayed by rain, and then postponed Thursday night in Myrtle Beach, SC. The games have been rescheduled to be played today at Coastal Carolina University. The first game begin at 11:30 am, the second and final game begins at 1 pm.
Former Watauga High senior Cal Hardee has been selected to play for the North Carolina All-Stars. He is the first Pioneers player to be selected to play in this all-star game. Hardee went hitless in five trips with a walk and a run-batted-in in the East-West Senior All-Star double-header at UNC-Charlotte Wednesday night.
Hardee was the third Pioneers' player to compete in the East-West game. Jacob Chaney represented WHS in 2000; Johnny Greene played in 2004.
