Two deaths are under investigation this morning in the area, one in Wilkes, one in Watauga.   Wilkes Communications is reporting a fatal accident in the Traphill area, a crash that occurred on Old US 21.  The State Patrol has been called to the scene, along with Wilkes Medics and Traphill Fire and first responders.

Watauga Sheriff’s Detectives have been called to investigate a death at an apartment off US 421.  The Glory Drive call came in at about 6:20 this morning.  The circumstances in the case are not clear at this point.
