Former Watauga High senior Cal Hardee made his all-star debut Wednesday night in Charlotte.

Hardee, who was hitless in five trips, walked and drove in a run in the double-header split. Defensively, he turned in a strong game at shortstop. The East won game one 11-5; the West won game two, 7-3 at UNC-Charlotte.
Now it's off to Myrtle Beach, SC for the Norht Carolina-South Carolina All-Star Showcase. Game one of that series will be played tonight at 7 pm at Watson Stadium at Coastal Carolina University.
Hardee is the third WHS player to compete in the East-West Senior game. Jacob Chaney played in 2000; Johnny Greene played in 2004. Hardee is the first WHS player selected to play in the North Carolina-South Carolina Showcase.
