A cool time in Beech Mountain this weekend, with the Cool 5 race set for tomorrow.

But the runners are expected to gather tonight for their pre-race pasta meal, kicking off the event.  There will be live music, games, and other activities at Buckeye Recreation Center.  Registration goes on all day today, then the meal starts at 5:30, and Saturday’s events crank up at 7am—the five mile race at 9am, 9:15 for the mile-and-a half event.  Post race activities will continue much of the day tomorrow in and around the Rec Center and through Beech Mountain.
