6:29 a.m. - A man passed away after falling at a home construction site on Blueberry Lane in Boone.

Aaron Miller of Blowing Rock Fire and Rescue said the man fell six to eight feet down a flight of stairs around 3:00 Wednesday afternoon.  He was airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center where he passed away.

Miller said authorities are looking into the man’s cause of death.  He said, “We’re not sure if his injuries were from the fall or if he had something medical going on that caused him to fall.”

The man’s name has not been released.

Blowing Rock Fire and Rescue, Watauga Medics, and MedCenter Air responded to the scene.
