8:09 a.m. - A Monroe teenager was arrested in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred in Caldwell County yesterday afternoon.

Our news partner, Foothills Radio Group, reports 16-year-old Donald Malick was charged with first degree murder after authorities believe he was involved in a shooting at a home just east of Hudson that left one dead and another victim injured.

An off duty Lenoir Police Officer who lives near the home made the arrest and was the first to arrive at the scene.

The names of the victims have not been released.
