WHS (8-5 overall) was presented with two trophies---one for the regular-season title and another for the tournament championship. Emily Bushman scored five goals to pace WHS Friday night, and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Darrow Cameron had three goals; Sarah Duke and Julia Roberts had two goals each. The state playoffs begin Friday, April 30. Emily Bushman will be our guest on the dugout show Tuesday night before our coverage of WHS-Hickory baseball on Oldies 100.7 FM.
