2:12 p.m. - Watauga County Parks and Recreation officials have set the dates for their two summer day camps.

Parks and Recreation Director Stephen Poulos said the Summer Adventure Camp will run for seven weeks from June 14 – July 30.  He said Keron Poteat runs the Summer Adventure Camp and registration costs $85 per week.

The Fun in the Sun camp will run for six weeks from June 21 through July 30.  This camp is headed up by Rebecca Wollard and will cost $75 per week.

Both camps are for children from ages 5 to 13.

Poulos said in the past, the summer day camps were held at Watauga High School, but because the transition into the new facility in Perkinsville, Hardin Park Elementary will host this year’s camps.
