The Watauga High baseball team trails Greene Central 4-0 through five innings in the consolation round of the Winterville Baseball Bash in Winterville, NC.

The Pioneers (8-6), mired in a three-game losing streak, have only made two hits----a single by Ryan Turner and an infield single by Josh Roberts-----through the first five innings. But WHS had its chances early. The Pioneers left four men on base in the first three innings.
Catcher Trent Murray of the Rams snapped the scoreless tie with a three-run home run to center-field in the fourth inning. The Rams added two runs without the benefit of a base hit in the fifth. An error and two walks fueled the outburst.
