10:49 p.m. - Former Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers has agreed to a six-year, free-agent deal with the Chicago Bears.

Peppers is a five-time Pro Bowl selection. Terms of the deal were not released, but sources have told the NFL Network that the deal is worth $79.8 million dollars with $40 million dollars of that money guaranteed in the first three years of the contract.
The Bears were 7-9 last season and have missed the playoffs for two consecutive years.
