Watauga County Crimestoppers seeks your help in identifying the persons responsible for various incidents over the past month.
On July 7 at approximately 3:16 a.m., someone is believed to have damaged multiple pieces of communication equipment that were attached to the top of the Fire Tower on Fire Tower Road. The alleged vandalism resulted in $25,000 worth of damage. On June 26 at 11:40 p.m. in a separate incident, Crimestoppers allege someone busted out a window of a residence in the Bradford Trailer Park on Beck Court Road with what appeared to be a firecracker wrapped in tape. The device was placed on an air conditioning window unit and the explosion broke out the window. Neighbors reported hearing a loud explosion. In a separate incident, the Wildcat Flea Market was broken into on July 11. Three or four young males were seen loading an allegedly stolen safe into the trunk of an older medium-sized car before leaving the parking lot. Anyone with information on these crimes is encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 828-262-4555.
