FCS football fans won’t be eyeballing Chattanooga hotel rooms in mid-December as the NCAA announced the FCS National Championship game will be held in Frisco, Texas for the next three years.

Frisco is about 30 miles north of Dallas, and the Chattanooga Times Free Press reports the city was considered a front-runner from the beginning of the bidding process.

The game will be played in Pizza Hut Park, which is home of FC Dallas of the MLS.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press reports the 23,000-seat stadium opened in 2005.

App fans looking to make the trek to Frisco will be in for quite a haul, as the 1,002-mile trip will take about 16 hours by car.
