Watauga's basketball squads found a way to brush off the rust from being off the hardwood, thanks to Old Man Winter, and advance to the next round of playoff action.

In the first game of the evening the 4th ranked Lady Pioneers knocked off Fred T. Foard, the 5th seed, 64-51. The Lady Pioneers will next face South Caldwell, the top seed, Wednesday night in Hickory. Air time is 6pm on Oldies 100.7 FM.

The 3rd seeded Pioneer men will also move onto the next round after beating South Caldwell, the 6th seed, 75-64. Pioneers will meet either Fred T Foard or Hibriten in Hickory on Thursday night.
