Watauga High Athletic Director Tom Wright has announced that Friday’s scheduled games with St. Stephens and Saturday’s make-up game with Fred T. Foard have been postponed.

.According to Wright, Catawba County Superintendent Dr. Timothy Markley will not let county teams travel in wintry conditions. No make-up dates have been announced, but the schools will try to iron out a workable solution that will allow them to close out the regular season early next week.

Also, the Northwestern 3A/4A Conference Tournament, which was scheduled to begin Monday, is in limbo at the moment. A decision concerning the tournament, and if it will be played at all, will be made as soon as possible.
