Former Davidson College great Stephen Curry has been selected to compete in the NBA All-Star game 3-point contest next week at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, TX.

Curry, who was a two-time All-America at Davidson and who led the Wildcats to the Final Four two years ago, is currently in his rookie year with the Golden State Warriors. Despite playing on a team that's only won 13 games and is third among the poorest performing teams in the league (Minnesota and New Jersey are worse), Curry has put up some big numbers.
He has played in 48 games, he has started 45, he's averaging 14 points-per-contest and he shooting 45% from the floor, 42% from the three-point line and 87% from the free-throw line. He is also averaging five assists a game.
The NBA All-Star game will be played next Sunday night, February 14, in Dallas, TX. Gerald Wallace will represent the Charlotte Bobcats as a reserve for the Eastern Conference. Wallace, who is averaging 19-points and 11-rebounds-per-game, is Charlotte's first all-star selection since rejoining the league in 2004.
