This weekend’s winter storm has caused cancellations and time changes for athletic events involving both Watauga High School and Appalachian State.

Watauga High’s basketball game against Alexander Central tonight has been postponed.  WHS Athletic Director Tom Wright said a new date for the game won’t be set until Monday.

The Northwestern 3A/4A Wrestling Championships that were going to be held at Alexander Central this weekend have been cancelled.

Finally, the tip for tomorrow’s Appalachian State men’s basketball game at Western Carolina has been moved up from 7:00 to 3:00.  This game can be heard on AM 1450 WATA beginning at 2:15 p.m.  The ASU women can be heard on Oldies 100.7 tomorrow afternoon at 1:30.
