Officials with the National Weather Service said an area of low pressure might track through the Southeast by the end of this week, which could bring significant snow to the High Country.

Snowfall is expected to start late Thursday night and continue falling through Saturday.

Weather officials have not yet predicted how much accumulation is expected this week.
