Deputies responded to a home on Congo Road in Wilkes County over the weekend after receiving tips about a possible marijuana growing operation.
Upon arrival, deputies found plants growing in the open- including a five-foot tall marijuana plant in a bucket in the backyard of the residence. Additional plants were planted among rows of corn in a backyard garden. Marijuana seeds and several buckets and planters, some with growing plants, were found in the house. Deputies charged Barry Keith Faw and Traci Naomi Stone with several drug related offenses including growing marijuana.
