Numerous accidents are still being reported. Roads are snow covered and travel is not advised. Per scanner traffic by emergency officials, the accidents are occuring all over the High Country with some roads being closed for varying lengths of time to clear accident scenes.

One of the worse trouble areas is Highway 421 near the Highway 221 intersection, per scanner communications traffic heading toward Wilkes County is being turned around and Highway 421 in that secion has been closed.
